What weapon to buy?
Hey all, I stopped playing Guildwars at the end of last summer, but recently, I became interested in Guildwars again. I found my cd, installed it and logged onto my account. Nothing has changed since my last logon. I have about 300 plat in my account and I am wondering what weapon to buy for my axe warrior who mainly participates in pvp.
I heard from a friend that Green items were introduced sometime after I quit the game. What are they? Are they better than pvp items? How so? I am looking for a good axe to buy. Which unique axe do you think is good for pvp? I don't really care about pvm. Secondly, what is surrow furnance? How do I go there? Those are all of my questions as of right now. Thanks in advance |

pvp items re usable only if you unlk them,
now greens, are pre-build, with perfect modes, and there is 1 for each build, and they are cheap (average green axe can go for 30-40k, but im not that sure cuz i dont play warior) chec all the greens at www.guildwiki.org they have the full list for each profession |

For PvP unlock the perfect axe mods (furious, zealous, fortitude), and just roll a pvp character. All Pvp equipment is auto-max then. No problem.
Greens have max stats (15^50, max mods) on every drop, but 90% of them are unwanted mod combos. Though greens are MUCH less expensive than their gold counterparts. As far as Axes go theres a Sundering of Foritude one called Victos Axe (like 30k right now), and a Furious of Axe mastery called the razorstone. about the same price I think. Niether of them are "perfect" mod combo wise, but their decent deals considering that making a 15^50 axe with req 9 or less would cost alot more. But like I said, In PvP just use the PvP weapons that already COME 15^50, and you can just set it up the way you like (usually furious or zealous of foritude) |

as for what weapon to buy : specially as a warrior it's realy better to have a well equipped pve toon than a pvp toon, for the obvious reason that you can helmet swap, and use more than 2 weapon sets. The best way to get the equip you want is to visit the droknar's forge weapon crafter, he sells 15>50 versions of sword, axe and hammer, req9 and ready to be modded. for 5k + some materials that's a realy good deal, specially since you'll be spending a shitload on money on weapon mods anyway. as for shields : victo's bulwark goes for around 80k, but is well worth it. Together with a set of collector shields you're all set ... |
